Win a web site! Competition Rules
- Entry to the "Win a Web Site" competition is free.
- The competition closes at 12 noon on Wednesday 31st March 2010 and no entries will be accepted after that date.
- The prize: a three-page 'starter' web site that will comprise a home page, a contact page (including a contact form if required), plus one other page.
- The website will be fully search-engine optimised, and include research/implementation with what we consider to be the most appropriate key words/meta tags.
- The prize will also include a one-off search engine submission to Google, Yahoo! and Bing. PLEASE NOTE: we cannot guarantee the winner's website will be included in any search engine database, nor can we guarantee top search engine listings.
- The winner's website will NOT include any aspects of ecommerce (online shop), or database work, unless agreed prior to commencent of the web site build.
- The winner will be obliged to host their website with 007 Web or our sister site, M35 Design, for the first year, at a total cost of £45.
- If the winner doesn't already have a domain name, 007 Web or its sister site, M35 Design, will register and pay for a new .co.uk domain name for the winner's web site to be hosted under. This registration will be valid for 2 years, after which time the winner will be obliged to pay for re-registration of their domain name for another two years at a cost of around £7.00.
- Registration of any type of domain name other than a co.uk (e.g. .com, .net. org, .eu) to be paid for by the winner, at a cost of around £20 for two years.
- Any extra website features, e.g. a 'customer control panel', statistics setup (including "Google Analytics"), or designated email 'spam' filters, to be paid for by the winner at an agreed small charge.
- Content for the website to be agreed with the winner. Written text to be supplied in digital format (e.g. email, on a CD) by the winner. Any photographs are to be supplied in digital format by the winner or, if these are not available, suitable ones can be sourced from a photographic library for a small charge.
- Any website updates made at the request of the winner in the first year after their website has gone live will be charged at £30 per hour, or part thereof.
- After the first year of hosting the winner is not obliged to offer any ensuing website update work to 007 Web, or its sister company, M35 Design, nor pay for hosting or re-registration of their domain name UNLESS they wish 007 Web or its 'sister' company, M35 Design, to continue looking after the website for them.
- If desired, the winner may move their domain name and/or website away from 007 Web or its 'sister' company, M35 Design, one year after the site goes live, without penalty.
- The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into with regard to their decision.
- 007 Web and/or its 'sister' company, M35 Design, reserve the right to publicise details of the winner and use their new website as a 'case study.'
- 007 Web or its 'sister' company, M35 Design, reserve the right to put a small link (credit) to their own website from the winner's web site home page.
- 007 Web reserve the right to declare the winning entry invalid if we believe the winner has broken our competition rules, whether deliberately or not. If that is the case we will not be obliged to create a website for the winner, and are at liberty to pick an alternative recipient for the prize.
- Existing clients of 007web or M35 Design are not eligible to enter the competition.
- No cash alternative is available in this competition.
- By agreeing to accept the prize, the winner agrees to abide by our full Website Terms and Conditions, which are available upon request.
